FAQ’s

How long does each therapy session last?

Each therapy session typically lasts for 50 minutes. This allows ample time for a meaningful discussion without feeling rushed. Allie is committed to ensuring that each session provides the depth and focus needed for your progress.

What can I expect in my first therapy session?

In your initial session, you’ll have the opportunity to share your story in a safe and confidential space. We’ll discuss your personal goals for therapy, begin to explore your challenges, and outline a path for your journey ahead. The first session is also a chance for you to get to know Allie and decide if this therapeutic partnership feels right for you.

Is what I discuss in therapy confidential?

Absolutely. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of the therapeutic process. Everything discussed in therapy stays between you and Allie, with the exception of certain ethical obligations to report, which will be explained in your first session.

How often should I attend therapy sessions?

Ultimately this is up to you. Allie recommends coming weekly for the first six weeks to build the therapeutic relationship and gain momentum in order to design a personalized therapeutic plan. From there, sessions can be adjusted according to client needs.
